Cowes is a gateway town for the Isle of Wight.

Travellers to Southampton are served by a high speed Red Jet catamaran passenger ferry from Southampton .

Southern Vectis' is the main bus service in Cowes and run to Newport’s bus terminal for connections to take travellers on to other island destinations.

The Floating Bridge connects the two towns of West Cowes and East Cowes throughout the day. It is one of a few remaining chain ferries not replaced by a physical bridge.

THE Voice singer Deana Walmsley will perform at a launch party for the Million Dollar Bash — a one-day festival celebrating the 50th anniversary of Bob Dylan's performance at the 1969 Isle of Wight Festival.

The launch party will be held on Tuesday (May 28) at the rock-themed restaurant and bar, That '60s Place, in Cowes.

Further details about the Million Dollar Bash will be announced, and Deana — who proved a huge hit on The Voice, starring in all eight weeks of the show before finishing runner-up — will perform.

Hailed a talented young star with a unique persona, Deana was coached on the show by Tom Jones.

Discounted tickets for the Million Dollar Bash can be bought on the night. The discount will not be available online.
